Celebrating the return of kuaka
Every year, in September, the first of the kuaka (godwits) return to Snells Beach after their epic non-stop flight from Alaska.
Kuaka continue to arrive until as late as December, and will live at Snells Beach until their journey back to their breeding grounds in March.
Lock and load your calendar for a FREE community event that celebrates the annual migration of kuaka (bar-tailed godwits) from Alaska back to their haven at Snells Beach.
